Mr. Fernandez has had an extensive global business career with leading organizations.
He has worked for S. C. Johnson & Son (Johnson’s Wax) managing the development
and market introduction of household consumer products. For Whirlpool Corporation,
he directed the global development of new over-the-range, microwave oven appliances,
carrying the Kenmore, KitchenAid and Whirlpool brand names.
For the Water Technologies Group at Pentair, Inc., Mr. Fernandez was instrumental
in Pentair’s transformation, via acquisitions, into what became a large
$2 billion water technologies company. There, Mr. Fernandez was president of its
water treatment business unit in North America and Europe. He also directed Pentair's
emerging markets water companies, developing the company’s growth in China,
India and the Middle East.
Throughout his career, he has accumulated solid experiences in the development
and successful market launch of new technologies and new products, both in the
consumer and industrial durable and non-durable markets. Finally, he has managed
marketing and sales teams in support of the businesses he developed.
Mr. Fernandez is a US citizen, native of Argentina, and he holds an accounting
degree from the University of Buenos Aires as well as a MBA degree from Stanford
University, specialized in marketing and business strategy. He is a past governor
of the U.S. Water Quality Association.
